For Humanities class we were assigned to make a mixtape about emotions, places or people. He really wanted us to understand that mixtapes used to have real meaning and giving one to someone was a big deal. For my project me and my partner Sofia decided to do summer anthems. Songs that really represent free spirited fun during the summer. For this project I believe it really represents communication 21st century skill. I think it is because the main part of it was to verbally present it to the class and discuss each part. The part I am most proud of was how clear and how the descriptions for the songs really represent the true theme of the mixtape.
This project developed my communication because I don't normally have to articulate deeply for a verbal presentation and it pushed me outside of my comfort zone . The most difficult part of the project was the song selection. We only had a certain number of slots to fill and being able to go through a whole list of viable songs was difficult. If I could start over this project I would make the playlist order so that the songs can transition into each other. The project related to what I learned in the past because I learned before that songs can really bring out emotions in people and being able to take them back to that moment in time. I can apply this to future learning by using this as a stepping stone to future learning about emotions and how music is processed by the brain |
