For community engagement were were assigned to help a local non-profit. We were quickly shown what HARF is and what HARF does for the community. Our group realized that the marketing that they use is mainly focused on the older generation. They focused mainly on Facebook but were missing the key young geographic for their marketing. We decided to create a step by step on how to effectively use Instagram. I'm most proud of this project by the use of creating a very easy to follow step by step tutorial while using our past knowledge is the materiel and creating a version that doesn't overwhelm the audience. This assignment represented Civic, Literacy and Engagement 21st Century Skill. I believe this assignment represented this skill by how we showed a understanding in helping the community and how these sacrifices we make can really shape ours and other peoples lives. The most difficult part of this task was actually creating a very simple materiel that in our meeting we can easily show Penny while not creating something to confusing and overwhelming. I would improve this work sample by instead of just having a step of each feature we could of maybe create a sort of assignment for Penny. This could show us what she Understood and did not understand, while giving us feedback; which we could give Realtime help. This relates to what I've learned by reflecting on my past knowledge in Instagram and using my better understanding of it to create a tutorial that's not straight from any old tutorial online. I could apply this in my future studies by using what I've learned about teaching a course material and furthermore using this skill of teaching later down the road.
