For chemistry we were assigned a comic book project to show chemical and physical changes is comic book form. We had to create a short story about some type of change and I decided to do a Chef making pasta and steak. I did this by representing the chemicals and the physical changes of the chef making this meal. For this assignment I believe it is self directional 21st century skill. I believe it is a self directional skill because I had to work on the assignment on my own time and I had to monitor how long it'll take and review my own work to reflect on myself to see if it meets KCS standards.
The part I am most proud of is my ability to use my imagination and intertwined chemistry with a story/Comic. I developed more of self direction skill because art is not my strong suit and I really had to push myself to keep trying and try to complete it to the best of my abilities. The most difficult part of this project was the artistic part. Through the years of schooling art has never suited me and this project was a real test to see if I can at least make a short story. If I would start over this project I would like to be able to make a rough draft for each frame. I believe that would make it easier to know what I am drawing and its also good practice. This project related to what I've learned in the past because I've always enjoyed Science and with my previous knowledge It was good to have a better understanding of what I was trying to explain in comic form. The project can apply in future learning by giving me a better understanding of how to creatively convey information |
